The making of a Bed

Well I ask for a bed and I got this... Pretty awsome I know... It's not done yet a little sanding and painting to go... that's my job...

The wood

The man

The plan

The tools

The result so far...

Oh ya, thanks Mel & Kathi for the use of your shop...

Road Trip

After a seemingly short 12 hour drive to visit the temple and my mom, dad & sisters (Mia & Jess) in Seattle, we are back. It was good to get away from the foot of snow that is still on our lawn and the 30 degrees temps. To the rain and 40 degree temps of Seattle, yes change is good. We stayed in a hotel with a pool which the kids were excited about, and near lots of shopping which I was excited about, and near lots of good restaurants which Kaelen was excited about...
We did do other things too...

Golden Garden Park, found a crab and sea shells on a very windy beach...

Rode the carousel, looked at all the goods at Pikes Place Market...

Feed the seagulls chips at Ivans fish & chips.

Saw the boats at the channel locks

Had a great time just hanging out with the fam...

Little Boy Blue

Well, Max is 6 months old. Likes to suck his two first fingers, has big blue eyes (which he gets from his dad)… and is as good as can be asked of a six month old. Aside from learning to suck his fingers which I’m sure is what helps keep so content most of the time, he has also learned to roll over. Emma & Kael love keeping him entertained with toys and silly faces. So what’s next … solid foods…?!

Winter Time Fun

You may be wondering what the heck we do all winter long… I’ll be the first to admit I wonder that sometimes too; there are not many options when it is -35 (last Saturday & Sunday) outside… But we did take the kids ice-skating for the first time, they both loved it… and by the end of the night Emma was skating all by her self… on our way out Emma asked “next time can I wear a skirt that twirls when I spin” You may be wondering how well I did skating... Well I didn’t… let’s just say I was the official photographer, I promise I’ll give it a try next time…

Now when it warms up to about 30 degrees, we shovel the walk way and go sledding
This day Kaelen told the kids if they wore the super capes that grandma Fox made them they would go faster… So how do we all like it…well, Emma loves it can’t get enough… Kael likes it …. But isn’t as died hard as Emma … I only go down once to get the photos from the bottom… Kaelen is just a show off…

Merry Christmas from Utah

Well, after a 36 hour car ride which should have only taken 24 hours... we made it to Hooper Utah where my parents live, to spend Christmas with my family...  and say goodbye to my sister who is moving to Florida... We thought a 24 hour drive was bad... their drive will be about 48 hours...
We're having a good time here in Utah shopping, dinning out, movies, hanging out with the family ... and 30 degrees weather here is better than the -30 degrees we left in Vanderhoof... We even got our family picture taken for the last time in at least a couple years... (Kaelen's happy about that)
We are grateful we were able to make this trip to spend Christmas with my family...
Merry Christmas...
