Mmmmm.... Corn.......

Well, the other night the kids were helping with dinner by husking the corn... Kael got his done and couldn't wait for it to be cooked... So he ate it all... raw... Then ate another cooked piece at dinner. Don't try to come between a boy and his raw corn...

Puddle jumping at Grandmas house!

We went to Grandma and Grandpa Gulbranson's house so Dad could help build a new dock for the lake and we got caught in a rain shower while we were there. after the rain died down Emma and Kael ran outside and played in the puddles and mud.

Our First Strawberries….

Kaelen recently built a raised bed for some strawberry plants we were given and we are already seeing our first strawberries. Emma is very excited to go out every day to see if any berries have turned red… She is also very helpful at eating them…

Pictures with the cousins

Kael feels a little outnumbered with his Utah cousins compared to his Canadian cousins. Emma is loving the time with her only girl cousins "baby Ella" and "baby Holly"

Weekend Fishing

So we went up to the cabins at Tizgay lake to take in a little of the scenery and to take Emma and Kael fishing. they have been looking forward to going ever since Dad and uncle Aaron went out to the ocean in May.

Emma caught the first fish, she was very excited to reel it into the boat... after about 5 turns on the reel she tired out and Dad had to finish the job.

They both thought that the fish was pretty cool until we brought it into the boat. then they both absolutely freaked out. Kael jumped off the seat next to dad and smacked his head as he made his way clear up to the front of the boat to sit as far away from the flopping fish as possible.

After the first fish they were both immediately disenchanted with fishing and wanted to go back to playing in the sand. even though Emma thought the fish was "sooo cute".
